Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) in collaboration with Zakithi Mkhize, aka @blackgirl.scientist, are proud to present the first episode in AHRI’s new virtual science café series.
The series aims to give a platform to scientists to speak about their work in an accessible way, and to open up dialogue about scientific research with the public.
In celebration of Youth Month, the first episode features AHRI PhD student and research lab technologist Sandile Cele. Sandile has been integral to AHRI’s work on the Covid-19 Beta variant.
In this interview, Sandile takes us through his career journey, and gives us a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse into his Covid-19 work in the lab.
