Celebrating a Decade of Discovery – AHRI and HPP Host Landmark Workshop Advancing HIV, HPV, and TB Research Through Tissue Biobanking

On July 28, 2025, the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) and the HIV Pathogenesis Programme (HPP) co-hosted a high-impact workshop led by Prof. Zaza Ndhlovu, focused on building clinical-research partnerships to drive forward infectious disease research. This milestone event marked 10 years of groundbreaking lymph node studies in KwaZulu-Natal and laid the foundation for a world-class tissue biobank supporting research in HIV persistence, immunology, HPV, and TB co-infection.
